Ram Sharan Sharma was an eminent historian of Ancient and early Medieval India. He was a professor at Patna University, Delhi University, and the University of Toronto, and was also a Senior Fellow at School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Dr. Sharma was also the founding Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research.
